SPRINGFIELD, MO - Tomorrow folks will be hitting the voting polls and one issue will be affecting the entire state of Missouri. Voters could adopt the Right to Work bill, which prohibits as a condition of employment the forced membership in a labor organization or forced payments of dues.
The residents of Springfield will get to decide if a person can bring in new pit bulls as pets. The ordinance, if passed, will allow those that have a pit bull already to be grandfathered in, along with some stricter guidelines. In addition, the city will prohibit accepting new pit bulls. City counsel voted five to four to approve the pit bull ordinance. Members of city counsel that voted for the ban say it will make Springfield safer. However, those that voted against the ban say the city will not be able to enforce this law due to limited animal control.
