Branson, Mo. — One child is in stable condition after falling from the newly-opened ropes course at Big Cedar Lodge’s Fun Mountain in Branson.
Big Cedar has announced that their 40-foot-tall ropes course will be temporarily closed following the incident.
At this time, it is unclear what injuries the child received as a result of the fall, and it is also unknown what led to the fall in the first place.
Big Cedar has not stated if the incident is a result of equipment malfunction, however, in a statement released Monday, they said that staff immediately implemented emergency procedures, and EMTs provided onsite care before transporting the child to a local hospital following the fall.
The ropes course, which opened just over a month ago, has been closed until further notice as Big Cedar will now assess the safety of their attraction.
They said they will be implementing any necessary adjustments to the course so that this does not happen again, adding that guest safety is their top priority.
