Heartbreaking news out of California. Bode Miller's 19-month-old daughter, Emeline Grier Miller, drowned in a neighbor's swimming pool.
"We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this," Miller wrote on Instagram on Monday.
The Miller's were visiting neighbors on Saturday. Paramedics were called around 6:30pm after Emeline was found unresponsive in the swimming pool. They were unable to revive her and she was taken to the emergency room in Orange County. She was pronounced dead on Sunday.
Miller is the most decorated male skier in the United States with six Olympic medals.
Bode Miller and his pregnant wife, volleyball player Morgan Beck, also have a 3-year-old son. Miller has two children from previous relationships.
"Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten," Miller wrote on Instagram. "Our little girl loved life and lived it to it's fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time."
