Springfield, MO -Friends and family of TaShayla Clayton have reached out to FOX 5 letting us know that Shay's battle with cancer is now over. She peacefully passed away earlier this afternoon at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. 

Shay was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer, back in April of 2017. Over the past year, she has gone through rounds of chemo and radiation, and traveled back and forth between Springfield and Memphis, undergoing treatments as her family prayed for a miracle.

Through all the pain and uncertainty, Shay faced each day with a smile on her face, however as her fight comes to an end, the family now needs your help.

If you want to help Shay and her family, an account has been set up to help lighten the family's financial burden. All of the proceeds will go towards Shay's medical and funeral expenses.
