SPRINGFIELD, MO (04/12/18) - This is Crescent. She’s a red coon hound and she’s about 1 to 2-years-old. We’re not too sure because she was a stray. She’s really kind of timid at first and then when she warms up to you she’ll give you kisses and be your best friend. She’s really relaxed and laid back.
She was found in Joplin and then sent to our Pups For Parole Program where they go and get trained at a prison facility here in Missouri and graduated from there and now she’s looking for her home. Loves to play but also loves to lounge. She loves rope toys.
Great with kids, as far as we know. Loves car rides! She, absolutely, adores them. She’ll sit in the car like a human which is funny to watch because she just reclines and sits back. Cigarette smoke sets her off a little and makes her cranky. Crescent should go to a home with a fenced in yard and a family that’s going to give her attention and affirmations. One that’s going to love on her and spoil her a little she’d rather not have a leash on so a fence is good. She needs someone that understands she’s still young and learning and she still has some house training to do. If you'd like to adopt Crescent go to rescueonespringfield.com.
