Springfield, Mo. -- (3/5/2018) A Springfield man has been charged in connection to a murder that occurred back in February.
Greene County officials have announced that Carlton Romero A. Williamson, 32, of Springfield was charged Monday with second degree murder in the death of Raquel Montgomery, armed criminal action, delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm for events which occurred on February 13, 2018.
According to the probable cause statement, Williamson allegedly shot and killed her after they exchanged words over $100 worth of meth.
Law enforcement had been actively looking for Williamson since he was identified as a suspect in the days after the shooting. Law enforcement watched several locations he was known to frequent. However, Williamson was not going to those locations.
