Stone County, Mo. -- (3/2/2018) A Stone County deputy observed a vehicle parked behind storage sheds just east of Galena early Friday morning.
The deputy approached the sheds to see what the suspicious vehicle was doing.
The deputy discovered the vehicle was occupied by 52-year-old Berry Davis of Reeds Spring and 47-year-old Teresa Baker of Galena. After speaking to the two individuals, the deputy requested assistance from Reeds Spring Police Department.
A K-9 unit arrived and investigated around the vehicle. After the dog was alerted, a search was conducted and methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia were found. Davis and Baker were transported to the Stone County Jail.
The two were both charged with possession of a controlled substance with a cash bond of $25,000.
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office followed up on the narcotics and obtained enough information for a search warrant at Davis’ residence in Reeds Spring. During the execution of the warrant, detectives recovered approximately an ounce of methamphetamine, a stolen ATV, a stolen tool box and other smaller items.
