Springfield, Mo. -- (2/16/2018) Willie Clark, 54, was sentenced on Friday for the murders of Andrea and Kevin Anderson, and the attempted murder of Ronald Anderson.
Clark was found guilty following a jury trial that was held in August of 2017. The evidence at trial established that the defendant was in a relationship with Andrea Anderson. He went to her home on February 13, 2015, where they began arguing. Ronald Anderson, Andrea’s adult son, tried to intervene and the defendant shot him. Andrea ran for the door to escape and the defendant shot and killed her. Andrea’s other adult son, Kevin, was in a back bedroom while this was occurring. The defendant shot and killed Kevin and shot Ronald two more times attempting to kill him. The defendant then left the house. Ronald survived being shot three times and testified to these events.
The defendant fled to his other girlfriend’s house in Springfield and then to a third girlfriend’s house in Arkansas. The girlfriend in Springfield notified police and turned over the gun which the defendant left with her. The defendant was arrested on February 17, 2015 and has remained in the custody of the Greene County Jail since that day.
Clark was sentenced Friday to three life sentences for the murders of Andrea and Kevin Anderson, and the attempted murder of Ronald Anderson. Clark was also sentenced to a total of 250 years for the crimes of armed criminal action.
