Wrestling event to benefit girl battling cancer
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--(2/8/18) The Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at Missouri State University will be hosting a charity event on Saturday to benefit a 16-year old Springfield girl battling bone cancer. Tayshayla Clayton was diagnosed with cancer last April, and chemotherapy treatments have not been able to get rid of the tumor. With medical costs building for her family, the fraternity has stepped in to help.
"This Saturday, February the tenth at 5pm at McDonald Arena, we are having a philanthropic event for Shay Clayton and her family. Shay is currently battling bone cancer, and so we are having a WWE style wrestling event to raise money for her and her family," said Matt Sheehan, the event organizer.
The event will kick off with a silent auction at 4pm, tickets can be purchased at the door, or by following this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2nd-annual-grants-warriors-tickets-40858816821.
