Female with knife facing charges of domestic abuse

Waynesville, MO -- (01/25/17) At 7:55 AM Pulaski County deputies were sent to a home in the 25000 block of Swindell Drive, Waynesville, Missouri, for a reported domestic altercation.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found a 44-year-old male subject with severe knife wounds to the head area and a 44-year-old female subject with a knife wound to her hand. The male subject was transported by ambulance to a Springfield, Missouri, area hospital. The female subject was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Lebanon Hospital. Upon her release, she will be booked into the Pulaski County Jail and placed on a 24-hour charging hold.

A Reserve Pulaski County Detective was called in to oversee and finish up the case. The detective will submit a statement of probable cause to the Pulaski County Prosecutor later today requesting charges of Domestic Assault in the First Degree and Armed Criminal Action be filed on the female subject. Another detective is en route to the hospital in Springfield to obtain evidence related to the case and conduct a follow up interview with the victim if the victim’s medical condition will permit the interview.

The investigation is ongoing.
