Lebanon, MO. -- (11/20/17) On November 20, 2017 Adam J. Bishop, a 33-year- old white male from Lebanon, Missouri was charged with one count of class C felony delivery of a controlled substance, one count of class E felony of attempt to manufacture a controlled substance, and four (4) counts of class E felony unlawful use of a weapon. Bishop was released from Laclede County Jail today on his own recognizance with special bond conditions.
On November 19, 2017 at approximately 10:30 PM the Lebanon Police Department received a tip that Bishop had a large amount of marijuana at his residence in the 800 block of West Madison Street in Lebanon, Missouri. Officers of the Lebanon Police Department with the assistance of the Lake Area
Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG) responded to the above residence, met with Bishop, and were given consent to search the residence. Officers located and seized approximately 8.3 pounds of marijuana and a total of nine (9) firearms. Several other items were seized relating to this crime. Bishop explained that he purchased the marijuana in Colorado with the intention of selling it in Missouri. Bishop was arrested and transported to Laclede County Jail.
The Lebanon Police Department and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group encourages the citizens of Lebanon to promptly report to their local law enforcement agency anyone who attempts to engage in illegal drug activity within the community. The above charges are mere accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
