Police investigate robbery at Subway near MSU

Springfield, Mo. -- (11/14/2017) Tuesday afternoon, a robbery occurred at the Subway located at the corner of Kimbrough Avenue and Harrison Street, near Missouri State University's campus. The Springfield Police Department reports that the suspect indicated he was armed, although no weapon was observed.

The suspect, yet to be identified, fled the scene into the nearby residential area west of Holland Avenue. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.

The Springfield Police Department responded to the incident and is currently in the area investigating. The department wants to remind citizens to always be aware of their surroundings.
