Update: Authorities have confirmed that the two deceased individuals are Jim and Sheri Parker. managers of the RV park.

Lake Ozark, Mo. -- (11/9/2017) After nearly a day of investigating, Miller County officials report having probable cause to believe that Gary Sweet, the accused Lake Ozark shooter, has committed a felony offense.

Just after midnight on Wednesday, witnesses reported hearing gunshots near Riverview RV Park in Lake Ozark. Responding officers met with two victims who claim gunshots were fired into their RV. Officers report one victim appeared to be struck while the other was unharmed.

The report states that The Mid-Missouri Major Crimes Task Force was activated and law enforcement officers from multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the Park to assist in the investigation.

Investigating officers found two deceased individuals in the upper level of the Park’s office building. The two bodies found on the scene appeared to have gunshot wounds. Officers report a door to the structure showed signs of forced entry.

According to the same report, witnesses recognized a person who matched Sweet’s appearance outside their RV at the time of the shooting. Video surveillance, confirming the sighting, showed a male matching the same description. The male in the video was wearing a green colored hoodie that was later recovered from Sweet’s residence in Phelps County after a search warrant was executed by the Phelps County Sheriff Department. The search also recovered a 16 gauge shotgun and shells matching the shells found at the scene of the crime.

An arrest warrant was issued by the Miller County Circuit Court and Sweet was ordered held without bond.

He is charged with two counts of first degree murder, two counts of first degree assault and four counts of armed criminal action.
