A Springfield woman is behind bars after allegedly stabbing her sleeping roommate with a knife.
Emily Saxton Aloiau, 33, has been charged with first-degree assault after police said she sneaked into her roommate’s room and stabbed her in the leg, according to a probable cause statement.
Police were dispatched to the home in the 2200 block of North Travis Avenue on Nov 3 for the reported assault.
The roommate who has not been identified said, “She had lived in the house for approximately 1 week at the time of this incident”
Aloiau is being held in the Greene County Jail on $25,000 bond.
