Nixa police arrest man barricaded in attic

Posted: Updated:

Nixa, MO -- (09/07/17) A Nixa apartment building was evacuated overnight after a man barricaded himself in the attic of the building. Nixa Police were dispatched at 8:51pm on Wednesday to a reported domestic assault on Viola street. When police arrived, Gregory M. Hill fled the scene and climbed into the attic over a single-story apartment building on Viola Street near Greenbriar Street. Nixa Police requested assistance from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team. Police evacuated the residents of the building until Hill was taken into custody. Once a warrant for Hill’s arrest was obtained, the Greene County SWAT team entered the attic and arrested him without incident at 12:49am. Hill is facing multiple charges from the Christian County prosecutor’s office. Nixa Police would like to thank the Greene County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in resolving the situation.
