SPRINGFIELD, MO (06/16/17) - Space! One of the worlds largest mysteries and the Springfield Greene County Library is giving kids the chance to have a cosmic journey throughout the planets and stars.
“You know are primary goal is to just give them some knowledge of some things that they would be able to see and what our library can provide," says youth services librarian Adrienne Poulson.
The exhibit is grant funded by the Science Institue. And Poulson says they’ve seen over 100 people check out the space exhibit since it’s been open for only a few days.
“We do provide hands on things for every age," says Poulson.
Kids are having fun and learning about the solar system and even saying space is cool.
Springfield is one of the 14 libraries in the nation that has the explore space exhibit and Poulson says the exhibit is free and the kids love heading over to the computer kiosk with games that include; space golf and space trivia.
If you’re looking somewhere for your child to get out of the heat this summer and for them to learn something new, Explore Space is open until august 4th.
