TANEY COUNTY, Mo. -- (06/15/2017) Taney County Authorities have made an arrest regarding the early morning shooting that took place just north of Branson on June 15.

Charges of 2nd Degree Murder have been filed against Najee Michelle Donson, 25, of Rogersville in relation to the shooting.

Officers were called to U.S.65 and Rose Oneill Road where a man had been shot. When authorities arrived at the scene, a 32-year-old male victim was found lying near a vehicle, shot in the face. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

After further investigation of the scene, it was discovered that four individuals had been in the car prior to the shooting. One occupant had fled the scene before the altercation took place, however, the suspect and another occupant were still at the scene when authorities arrived.

During an interview with officers, one of the vehicle's occupants stated that Donson was in possession of a pistol. The occupant also stated that the victim and the suspect had an altercation before Donson shot the victim in the face.

Donson is currently being held in the Taney County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
