Kallie Koester believes that growing up in a rural city highlights the best of both worlds – the small, simple world of a tight-knit community where greeting others on a first name basis comes naturally, and a large, industrialized world with a buzzing downtown atmosphere that welcomes creativity and ingenuity. Here in the Midwest is where she’s found her inspiration and values. Originally from Effingham, Illinois, Kallie’s excited to continue her work in the Ozarks which boasts several of the principles listed above.

In 2017, she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication from Eastern Illinois University. While at EIU, Kallie worked on the Emmy-award winning PBS affiliate, WEIU News Watch, as an anchor and reporter. From there, she’s been honored with multiple awards and recognition. Her news packages involving controversial road construction as well as coverage of a devastating business fire received first and second place SCJ awards in television news.

In her free time, Kallie loves finding new restaurants, shopping for clothes, watching Cardinals baseball, and exploring the beautiful outdoors.

Always the one to have an answer, Kallie’s found that there’s more to an answer than the answer itself. There’s a story within each answer – rich history, insightful knowledge, and unexpected adventure. She’s here to tell that story and give that answer -- and hopes the next story is your story!
