I joined the FOX 5 team in September of 2012 as the start of a budding news and weather team.

Weather has been my passion from the age of 5 when I witnessed a tornado touch down not far from my home in Colorado Springs. Since then, I have always been fascinated with forecasting, weather patterns, and especially extreme weather, and understanding why it happens. I didn’t always want to be a forecaster on TV, in fact while in high school I wanted to work for the National Weather Service, where I didn’t have to be on camera. However, after I moved on to college I realized that I like to talk about the weather too much, and the best way to use that was to move on to TV! I never get tired of people asking me about the forecast.

I attended St. Louis University starting in 2008, where I ran the student television station and also filled the role of meteorologist. While at SLU I gained a year of internship experience at Fox 2, and spent the following summer at KMBC 9 in Kansas City. I graduated in May of 2012 with my Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, and moved here, to Springfield and the Ozarks a few months later.

In my spare time I enjoy biking the trails around town, spending time outdoors and swimming. As well as some occasional binging on Netflix (House of Cards anyone?)

The weather here in the Ozarks is (almost) never boring! From the record snow in May, 2013, to the flooding in August of that year, and the crazy winter of 2013-2014, it has been an exciting time, and I look forward to continuing to serve Springfield and the Ozarks.
