I joined the FOX 5 team in September of 2012 as the start of a budding news and weather team. Weather has been my passion from the age of 5 when I witnessed a tornado touch down not far from my home in Colorado Springs. Since then, I have always been fascinated with forecasting, weather patterns, and especially extreme weather, and understanding why it happens.

I am originally from Iowa City, IA, but moved to Springfield chasing love. My girlfriend at the time, who is now my wife, is from here. As crazy as it sounds to me, I’ve now been here for eleven years. I graduated from the University of Iowa, and moved to New York after that to intern for the Late Show with David Letterman where I made copies, went on errands, and appeared in sketches, but mostly made copies and went on errands.
I’ve worked in radio at Power 96.5 now for 13 years and host the morning show “Fotsch’s Morning Buzz” weekdays from 6-10am.
